“It is okay to not be okay. But it is not okay to remain that way.”
“A victim-mentality must change to a victor mindset.” – Fatima Oliver
At an early age, Fatima became emphatically convinced pain and family was synonymous. Living with the trauma from physical and sexual abuse, the loss of a child, abandonment issues, horrible decision making and long complicated relationship with anxiety and depression.
Fatima grew up the only girl with 5 brothers. Her mother was a single Parent and was tough as nails. At the age of two she was recovering from burns on 25% of her body. By the age of ten she was emphatically convinced pain and family was synonymous. One Stepfather beat Fatima and her brother for sport. Another violated her in a way she had never experienced and it took 34 years to confront the pain of it all. These mentionable’ s, alongside the death of a child, abandonment issues, physical abuse from a spouse, and an inherited blood disorder effecting her son eventually sent her spiraling.
It took over 36 years before finding the courage to change her life. The journey to finding herself and accepting who God created her to be, birthed some key baby steps that have helped her mature in her healing journey.
The entire journey birthed an inspirational memoir titled, “The Prescription is in the Dirt”. Now Available in Paperback and eBook version on Amazon.com. A Self-published love that has gained incredible responses. Throughout Fatima’s journey, she learned about the three key foundations she believes she is meant to share.
