EP#80 – Quality of Life after Binge Eating Disorder

I’m sure you’re also curious to know what binge eating is. What happens when you binge eat? What triggers a binge? What does a binge eater feel?

Binge Eating Disorder (BED) is a medical condition that can cause serious and life-threatening health problems if left untreated.

People with BED often consume abnormally large amounts of food and feel that their eating behavior is out of control. They eat even when they’re full or not hungry. They feel ashamed, guilty, or depressed after eating.

If you can relate to most or all of these, you may be suffering from a binge eating disorder.

With proper care and treatment, people living with binge eating disorder can learn how to manage their symptoms, gain control over their behaviors, and live a happier life.

Watch our episode featuring Benedita Sousa, who experienced binge eating for over 20 years. She shared her journey of how she overcame this awful condition and how she’s helping women find their freedom from binging.
